Facebook seems to change its algorithm the same amount of times that a cat parent scoops the litterbox. Fortunately, some of these changes are actually to a blogger’s benefit, including the way they affect a Facebook page for your blog.
Despite all of the recent Facebook algorithm changes, a Facebook page for a blog still is something you should have, engage with, use, promote, and help to foster a community with or around. We live in a day and age where many people derive information about a business via a Facebook page. You, as a blogger, are a business.
Get Started on a Facebook Page for Your Blog
Head on over to this link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
Click on Brand or Product in the upper right box. You’ll be prompted to choose a category. I chose News/Media website for my blog, but the choice is yours. You can visit other blogs and businesses for examples.

- Click that link.
- If you the admin to more than one page, the pages will be shown here. Pick the desired page you want to customize.
- Enter Desired Username will appear. Once entered, click “Check Availability.”
- Choose wisely, as this cannot be changed.
