BlogPaws Pet Safety Blog Hop

In case you have been busy this summer, here is a little recap of what is
going on. We have decided that each month we will be following a theme.
The theme is a way for us to help you come up with topics to write
about that are important to the pet community, that will help drive
traffic to your blogs, and hopefully gain you some new readers.

For the entire month of July we are focusing on Pet Safety Tips and Ideas! If you have a post about Pet Safety whether it is about summer safety tips, what foods you should keep away from your cats, or even how children can coexist with pets like rabbits or birds, we want you to link up and share your knowledge.

These are the ideas we want you to share with your readers and we
will amplify for you to the entire BlogPaws Network. Here is how it
works, add a link from a post you either wrote already in celebration of
Pet Safety Month OR write a post now with your best tips and ideas and
then add your direct link to the post in the linky below.

Week one of BlogPaws Pet Safety Month we had a fantastic #BlogPawsChat over on twitter about how to keep your Pet Safe during July 4th.

Week two of BlogPaws Pet Safety Month kicked off our monthly Photo Contest make sure you head on over there to enter your Pet Safety pictures today! Also during week two, we had another fantastic #BlogPawsChat with the amazing people over at the Center for Pet Safety. If you missed the chat make sure to check them out they are doing very important work to help make car harnesses safer for our pets!

During this third week of the month, follow our main blog where we will be posting about the history of pets and pet safety. The third week of every month will revolve around the history of our themes. Plus, we have this great blog hop!

Tuesday of Week 4 we will again be taking to twitter for another #BlogPawsChat from 8 – 10pm Eastern time with special guest Melanie Monteiro, author of The Safe Dog Handbook. Drop by and hang out with us! The same applies for week 5 of this month (yes there are 5 Tuesdays in July) so we will be hanging out and chatting with Dayna Hilton, BlogPaws 2013 Nose-to-Nose Award winner for Best Cause Blog for her blog Fire Safety Rocks!
