BlogPaws Celebrates National Adopt a Cat/Adopt A Shelter Cat Month
Post by Blog Manager Robbi Hess
We, here at BlogPaws, are like James Herriot and love "all creatures great and small," but this month we
are loving on cats just a smidge more as they are our spotlight pet. Because June is National Adopt a Cat/Adopt a Shelter Cat Month we are hosting themed chats in our Community, Twitter Pawty chats, writing blog posts and giving away cat-themed prizes that have been generously donated by cat-loving community members that have partnered up with BlogPaws for this month long event.
Every Monday for the rest of June we will be featuring a set of individuals that have offered prizes "all for the love of cats." Check the Community and our Facebook page as well as the blog to find out dates and times of upcoming events.
Here are some of the great prizes that will be available:
- Our most recent Twitter chat Deb Barnes guest hosted with Kristin Dewey and delved into the topic of: What's so Great about Cats!?" She gave away two copies of her book – The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey.
- Community member and BlogPaws supporter BZTAT has an art fair coming up and will donate a 5×7 cat
drawing in an 8×10 mat. This prize will be given away as a drawing during a guest chat so stay tuned for dates, times and other details! - Wanda Kruse is donating a Hello Kitty Journal.
- Ingrid King will donate an autographed copy of Purrs
of Wisdom. - Amy Shojai, one of the speakers at BlogPaws 2013, is donating a copy of Complete Kitten Care.
- Janiss Garza is donating a copy of Dear Sparkle:
Cat-to-Cat Advice from the World's Foremost Feline Advice Columnist.
If you've written any blog posts that are cat and/or adoption-related, have pinned adorable photos on Pinterest or have any videos you've taken of your beloved feline, we'd love to hear about them!
Early in the month, I had a post about 10 ways humans can benefit by adopting cats: http://www.sparklecat.com/special/10-ways-humans-benefit-by-adopting-cats
And I just want to mention, the Dear Sparkle book is MINE! My human only edited it and took photos – and THEN the publisher had to do MORE editing! Which means (in cat language) I should take ALL the credit.
Lol, thank you for letting me know, Sparkle. I know that when I write, Henrietta wants to get credit and who can blame her — she’s the inspiration! Thanks for sharing the link!
