Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop: New Year’s Declarations

New Year’s Resolutions have gone the way of the rotary dial phone; New Year’s Declarations are here to stay. This week’s Wordless Wednesday blog hop is in honor of New Year’s declarations.

BlogPaws’ COE (Chief of Everything), Chloe DiVita, recently explained the difference between declarations and resolutions in a short and spot-on Facebook LIVE video exclusively for members of the BlogPaws Facebook Community Group.

New Year's Declarations

When you declare something, you make a statement or an announcement; you “declare” something.

Resolutions, on the other hand, are more past focused, as in you resolve not to engage in that behavior.

Declarations are more proactive and positive. They reside in the now.

Resolutions look to the past.

Since a new year is all about living in the now and making today your best day ever, what would you like to declare as your intentions for the new year?
