Vet practices and social media: BlogPaws Delivers

Sutu1Social media has gone to the dogs….and cats, gerbils, ferrets, birds, capybaras, and then some! Christina Sutu of Encina Vet Hospital knows this very well.

Did you know BlogPaws also has veterinary-based sessions that ANYONE who is registered for the 2012 BlogPaws conference is welcome to attend? Indeed. Here's the skinny on what to expect during Christina Sutu's session.

BlogPaws: Hi and thanks for joining us. Tell us about your session and what you hope folks should gain by attending.

Christina Sutu: Social Media: Introducing the 21st Century Vet Practice is a course geared for veterinary professionals who are looking to implement social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogging) into their hospitals.  This course will explain what social media is, why it is important for veterinary professionals and how you can take charge of your social media plan with confidence.

BlogPaws: This is your second time at BlogPaws. What do you like so much about it? Sutu2

Christina: I love that social media has brought us all together from all over the country!  It’s not just bringing people together, but pets too, and I think that is so powerful.  I love the networking, brainstorming, and ideas that blogpaws brings to us all.  There is no conference like this anywhere!

BlogPaws: We concur! Where can folks learn more about you?

BlogPaws: Who are your pets?

Christina: I have 5 pets total: I have a 3 year old German Shepherd named Sasha, a 5 year old Maine Coon cat named Frank, and a 2 year old Domestic Medium Hair cat named Rupert (he's a menace!) and lastly, I have 2 illegal immigrants in my living room: 2 sugar gliders named Chloe and Jack (it’s impossible to get a picture of these two because they do NOT sit still!)

Fun fact: Christina once spent an entire night in Disneyland riding the rides until 5am the next day.

Come to Salt Lake City, meet Christina, and join in the fabulous 3-day event:  BlogPaws 2012
