Salt Lake City Squatters Pub and BlogPaws

Screen shot 2012-06-19 at 2.50.35 AMFriday night, June 22, Squatters Pub Brewery will be hosting a pet friendly event in Salt Lake City for BlogPaws 2012 attendees. Did we mention the event is pet friendly and Squatters Pub gives back?

Amy Coady of Squatters Pub shared, “Salt Lake is very supportive of local pet organizations, for example we not only support Best Friends / No More Homeless Pets with a 5¢ bottle cap donation program, we also annually support Therapy Animals of Utah with a Chasing Tail 5K, where participants can walk or run with their dog.” And here's some more scoop…

Where is Squatters Pub Brewery? 147 West Broadway (300 South) Downtown Salt Lake City Utah. Squatters was founded in 1989 and on September 5th Salt Lake’s Original Brewpub will be 24 years old.

The “Best Friends/No More Homeless Pets” program is something Squatters Pub does to give back to the pet community. They produced a beer cap unique to their bottling line and added the No More Homeless Pets logo. They have a cap return program on the (get ready for it) Chasing Tail beer labels.

“Customers are encouraged to collect the Chasing Tail caps, and to bring them to our brewery, our pubs, Screen shot 2012-06-19 at 2.51.48 AM other retail locations such as Whole Foods or mail them to us. At the end of the year we count the caps and for every cap collected, we donate 5¢ to BF/NMHP,” Coady told us.

Fun foodie facts: Amy revealed the burger list is divine, as is the salad menu, Tabouleh Quinoa, and Blackened Tilapia Salad. Want something more summer-y? Check out the fish and chips or fish tacos served Baja style or chili rubbed.

If you are attending the conference and are interested in the Friday evening reception, then tune in Thursday evening when we announce how you can be there – with your pet!
