It's the weekend and that means time for BlogPaws' getting to know YOU better. Each weekend we turn the tables and instead of informing, we ask and you educate us.

Almost one year. I started mid-November last year.

I am an only dog.

Yes!

No, but we plan to attend next year!

Time. My staff’s availability is limited because she has a full-time job.

We have not yet figured out Twitter.

approximately 2-3 hours

• I Tweet daily, anywhere from 1 to 5 or more times. – @EmmySits
• I post every Wordless Wednesday; other than that, I’m a sporadic blogger.
3. How long have you been blogging?
• About a year and a half
4. How many pets do you have at present?
• One—hamster Charlotte. She’s a pistol. I’ve had her since August.
5. Are the antics and lives of your pets a primary part of your blog’s content?
• Charlotte appears every once and awhile, but most I offer information for pet sitters and people who needs pet sitters, pet health, news, D.C.-area events, and things that amuse me.
6. Have you ever been to a BlogPaws conference?
• Yes, in 2011 and 2012. The BlogPaws community opened up a whole new world for me. It was empowering to be in a room full of people that 1) loved animals as much as I did and 2) felt compelled to communicate on their behalf.
7. What is your biggest blogging obstacle?
• Butt in chair
8. What platform (i.e. Blogger, WordPress, etc) do you use?
• Blogger
9. Have you ever been to a Twitter party?
• Yes. I like #petchat (Monday evenings 8-10 p.m. EST) and #blogpawschat (is it the 2nd Tuesday of the month?) With so many people Tweeting, they’re hectic, and if you’ve never participated you can feel left out; so many people know each other, either virtually or have met in person. But it’s a good way to build an online community and people are very welcoming.
10. How many hours per day, on average, do you spend online?
• Too many LOL. 3-5, I think. I’m hooked.

I have never missed a BlogPaws conference and have been to all 4 to date with my dog 😉

More time needed. More tech help, too.

Yes and I love them. I have helped with some, too.

More than 8 pretty much because PR, social media, blogging, and writing are all a part of my career.

Including my paid work? – probably at least 8 hours

10. How many hours per day, on average, do you spend online? I work online so I am not sure it is a fair question. 16 to 18 hrs

3. How long have you been blogging? Since January 2003 – almost 10 years!
4. How many pets do you have at present? Just my human, and that is enough! I also have two roommates, Binga and Boodie, and my human’s boyfriend also lives here with his dog.
5. Are the antics and lives of your pets a primary part of your blog’s content? Well, I do complain about my human a lot…
6. Have you ever been to a BlogPaws conference? My human has been to three! She missed 2011.
7. What is your biggest blogging obstacle? Sometimes it is hard to come up with really good things to blog about every day. I do nap a lot.
8. What platform (i.e. Blogger, WordPress, etc) do you use? Self-hosted WordPress.
9. Have you ever been to a Twitter party? Yes – in fact, I co-hosted one a few weeks ago, a book signing pawty for one of my own books! It was very successful.
10. How many hours per day, on average, do you spend online? A few. My human, on the other hand, is pretty much online from the time she gets up until she goes to bed!

5. Are the antics and lives of your pets a primary part of your blog’s content? Absolutely! What else would I talk about? I mean really, nobody wants to hear about my job in finance.
6. Have you ever been to a BlogPaws conference? Yes, once and it was a blast. Can’t wait for next year’s.
7. What is your biggest blogging obstacle? Keeping things light, fun and entertaining so readers look forward to reading the Sunday blog with their coffee.

10. How many hours per day, on average, do you spend online? Officially, enough to stay in touch with the world. Off the record? Way too many.

5. Are the antics and lives of your pets a primary part of your blog’s content? Yes, I mostly write about training my guide dog puppies, but I also like to talk about my own 2 dogs – Stetson and Linus.
6. Have you ever been to a BlogPaws conference? Yes, for the first time in 2012.
7. What is your biggest blogging obstacle? My day job!

9. Have you ever been to a Twitter party? Nope. I wish I could attend the BlogPaws Twitter party, but I always have guide dog meetings the 2nd Tue of the month.
10. How many hours per day, on average, do you spend online? Pretty much all day since I’m a web manager by day and blogger at night.

5. Are the antics and lives of your pets a primary part of your blog’s content? Yep! Rory the Kelpie is a blog all about my adopted Dog’s training progress. My other blog is about all of my dogs, my foster dogs, and me as a trainer.

we focus on …its a dog wagging view of the world. Our travel stories are based on Maggie’s experiences. Our recipes Maggie eats, and our reviews; Maggie is the tester. However we do cover care and feature guest bloggers.

Not yet, but I do want to go to one in the future.

Time, its just me and four paws doing all parts of the blog, site, seo, reviews, social, etc.
