Be the Change is all about helping YOU come up with ways to help those you are most passionate about. We love it when we are able to share ways you can help with very little effort on your part because we know you are busy and not everyone has unlimited amounts of money they can offer to rescues and shelters. That is why we love to share things with you that allows you to
go about your daily life and be making a donation at the same time. When the weekend rolls around we all want to spend some time relaxing maybe watching a movie or two. On your way home from work or after a day of catching up on your weekly shopping stop by your local RedBox and pick up the Documentary SHELTER ME. All proceeds from rental from now until April 29th will go to Halo Pet Foundation. And all of the money they raise goes directly to pets! Halo (the pet food company) absorbs all admin costs so it truly makes an impact through grants and other programs to help shelters and rescues help dogs and cats in need!

SHELTER ME is a documentary film hosted by Katherine Heigl and sponsored by talk-show host Ellen and her pet food company Halo, Purely for Pets©. The film celebrates shelter pets with positive and uplifting stories and shows how people’s lives are improved when they adopt these animals. SHELTER ME, filmmakers go inside a women’s prison to get an inside look at the service dog training program the inmates participate in. Inmates are given the responsibility to train former shelter dogs into highly
trained service animals for people with disabilities. This film shares with
viewers the journey of two stray dogs, from the day they are picked up on the
streets and brought to a shelter until the day they go to their forever homes.
