BlogPaws Cares & Shares: Tech Talk Hangout

Listeners to the BlogPaws Cares & Shares Hangout on Thursday, May 21 learned about plug-ins, coding and more. They also learned, “you don’t have to be afraid of tech” which I am certain is a great thing for a newbie blogger — or even an experienced blogger — to learn.

Stephen Pelletier, of Slim Doggy, and Tom Collins, of BlogPaws, who will be hosting a tech seminar and one-on-one sessions, respectively, took to the mic to take the fear out of the technology that supports our bloggers’ websites and blogs. As Steve pointed out you don’t need to “boil the ocean” when it comes to your tech; what that means is you don’t have to do it all. Take bite-sized doable chunks as it relates to your blogging and its technology.

Questions from the audience ranged from:

  • I have a strong password, do I have to worry about being hacked, to
  • Can’t I just blog and not worry about the technology because the tech freaks me out, to
  • Is there simple coding or CSS or HTML that I need to know to get me by?

Watch this video to learn more and then plan to catch Steve’s session at the BlogPaws Conference on Wordpress plug-ins, platform & design. Tom’s one-on-ones, which are full, will be about HTML & CSS for your blog. Catch up with these speakers and with Gina Caballero, of Oz The Terrier, who was unable to attend the Hangout, at the conference. Gina’s one-on-ones, which are also full and have a wait list is about being bigger and better on Blogger – Tips & Tricks for Design, Template HTML, SEO and posting.
